The first extract dedicated to my land, Sicily.
Revised, enhanced in respect of its being, Fresco di Sicilia is my way of “sniffing” my land with its complexities and its countless contradictions.
Border land but at the same time, cradle of civilization, dominated and dominating, land of culture, land that makes you “inturciuniuna n’to stomach” for how beautiful it is and for the anger of always being one step away from normality but never get to own it.
As often happens, many emotions contribute to the inspiration of a fragrance, many “things to say”.
With Fresco di Sicilia I have nothing to say except … “this is my land, with strengths and weaknesses”.
Maybe because I too conceive a bewitching and perfect incompleteness of everything, maybe because it’s difficult to tell, to get out of all too common and deeply rooted clichés.
Fresco di Sicilia is a different citrus fruit.
It’s my little declaration of love for my Sicily.
